A very scenic circuit taking in mixed farmland and mature open woodland. The curious and charming Poldhu Wells, visited towards the end of route, are an interesting feature of the walk, which is mostly over gently undulating ground.

An enjoyable short hike in mature woodland in an important protected natural environment. There is a long but gradual ascent in the mid-section of the route. The diversion to Old Kinord provides some interesting historical context to the landscape.

This is a relatively short coastal walk with a moderate ascent, to a headland high above the Moray Firth. There are some exhilarating views over the Bay of Gamrie, along the coast towards Macduff and Banff, and inland, taking in the wild green ecosystem of the Den of Afforsk.

A short but energetic walk in mature forest and heather moorland with marvellous views from the extensive summit area and approaches. The route is particularly recommended in late Summer when the wide areas of purple heather seem to stretch out into the middle distance.

This is a short but exhilarating walk on the clifftops that surround the striking Mull of Galloway lighthouse. In the Summer months you are sure to see thousands of seabirds clinging to the rocky ledges where they nest. The visits to the RSPB and Lighthouse visitor centres are both highly recommended.

This walk takes in the River Spey and fine views of the fields and forests that characterise this malt whisky distilling area. The final section, descending through the Dounie Glen is particularly beautiful and enjoyable.
