As an open source dev, publishing a new project is always a source of stress. Not because of adoption, but mainly because of feedback: things you did not see, or choices you got wrong. That is why I often run polls, and why I change my mind when needed. Open source projects only live through you. I do not build for me, I build for us.

Concerning # FediHood , I made the choice that web pages such as profiles, messages and threads are not available on the web without authentication. That keeps out all scrapers and crawlers. Of course, this does not break the federation. Good choice Bad choice No opinion
# FediHood supports custom emojis, but I think people should be able to import their own (limited to around 10) and only usable by them. I will add another tab in the emoji picker to quickly find them.
The domain fedihood.social is flagged as dangerous by Bitdefender, which may be the reason why confirmation emails are being rejected as spam by some providers. I registered the domain on August 7th, and this false positive is causing a lot of problems. # FediHood
More and more of you are joining # FediHood , currently the only # Fediverse software that lets you build a local timeline with people posting around you. You choose how far around you the timeline reaches, and which topics you want to see.
Concerning # FediHood , the verification email contains only a few words with a link carrying the token. Unfortunately, this makes the email get rejected as spam by some providers. I neglected that part, having tested with only three providers. Sorry about that.
