Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Plenty of stuff from Knicksland to discuss, so let’s get into it.
🏀 I was upstate in the sticks of the Catskills for a family reunion this weekend, where the internet connection was about as consistent and reliable as Mitchell Robinson at the free-throw line. So, at roughly the same time I learned the Knicks had signed Mavericks restricted free-agent center Moussa Cisse to a two-year offer sheet, I also learned Dallas was matching it.
It was a smart swing by Leon Rose and the front office, even if the odds of stealing Cisse were always slim.
The 23-year-old big man is still raw, but he flashed intriguing upside as a rookie last season after going undrafted out of Memphis in 2025. Playing on a two-way contract, Cisse averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in just 13.9 minutes across 38 appearances.
