Watch the step-by-step video here → [Watch the Dino Ice Cream Cake Video]How to Make It:
Make the crust: Crush dye-free Goodie Girl Cookies, we use birthday cake cookies, and mix with melted butter (or your favorite butter alternative). Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan or pie dish.
Add the ice cream: Let your favorite ice cream soften slightly, then spread it evenly over the cookie crust.
Freeze: Place the cake in the freezer until the ice cream is firm.
Add the fudge: Spread a layer of hot fudge over the frozen ice cream, then return it to the freezer for a few minutes to set.
Top it off: Frost the cake with your favorite whipped topping.
*Optional- Repeat the whole process and stack them together for larger cake.
Decorate: Crumble more Goodie Girl Cookies around the edge of the cake, then finish with a generous sprinkle of Supernatural DiNOMITE Sprinkles for the perfect dinosaur-inspired finish. Add these dino bones, and RAWR!
That’s it! An easy, colorful dye-free ice cream cake that’s guaranteed to disappear fast.

These NEW King Arthur Baking mixes are such a great addition to any dye-free family’s pantry! Our family has personally used both mixes for family gatherings, and they are hands down the highest-quality baking mixes we’ve ever used. They make it so easy to create bakery-worthy treats with minimal effort and without synthetic dyes.

We were especially excited when King Arthur Baking announced they were using Supernatural Softies in the mixes! Supernatural Sprinkles are the most vibrant dye-free sprinkles we’ve ever used, and we’ve been so impressed with how well they hold their color during short bake times.
You can buy these new mixes at select Targets, Target.com, and on King Arthur’s website!

After 4+ years of pouring our hearts into To Dye For, life looks a little different than when we started this journey in 2022. Our daughter was two and our son was four when we began filming. Now, we have an almost six-year-old and an eight-year-old. Time is truly a thief!
The impact of our story has far surpassed anything we could have imagined. As we’ve seen time and time again, what God has His hand in often goes beyond our expectations.
While interviews have slowed down, life continues to change in the sweetest ways. Whitney has been working remotely with Supernatural Kitchen (leading dye-free sprinkle company) since October and absolutely loves being part of a company that makes dye-free celebrations just as fun and colorful as the rest. Even better? It’s run by a handful of amazing moms. How cool is that?
This year, we also decided to homeschool! We plan to start documenting our learning and fun in the fall. [curioushomeschoolers] As a former teacher, Whitney is loving the curriculum, creativity, and all the fun ways to learn. After so much travel and time away from our kids while filming To Dye For, this season of slowing down and soaking up the middle years with them feels like such a gift.
Brandon continues to create in so many ways. Along with his commercial photography and videography work, he’s filming a TV pilot, writing a time travel book, and creating local content for our community. (Creatives keep creating!)
We continue to fight the good dye-free fight through legislation each session. If you know legislators who need our story, testimony, or connections to experts, we’d love to help! 💛 (whitney@todyefordocumentary.com)
THANK YOU for the support! Our gratitude overflows.
XOXO
