The world stage describes an ecosystem containing a diverse array of opinions but only two primary world views. It’s effectively a duopoly, as both sides stem from a common source. One side presents fictional events and the other side presents an alternative explanation for the fictional event. You have a plot and subplot—everytime.
Conspiracy theories are subplots.
When we analyze suspected fake events, we do so as skeptics, subtracting the unverifiable and the falsified. We recognize that when the facts don’t support a new story, the story is a fiction.
When conspiracy theorists analyze suspected fake events, they find the obvious clues and arrive at an alternative explanation for how it happened. They always begin with a base assumption that “it happened.” These clues are part of the fake event implementation strategy and the subplots are written into the script.
Conspiracy theorists are lost in subplots. Their predicament is similar to that of delusional religious fanatics or cult members.
