On May 17th, The Idaho Primary Elections will afford Idahoans the chance to make some real change to the Idaho Legislature.  The opportunity IS NOW for some fresh, new blood to represent true Idaho Values as Legislators.  Redistricting has changed the landscape and given the voters the opportunity to express their displeasure of the “establishment Old Guard”!  

Jon Krueger  will bring your true constitutional conservative values back to the Capitol.  The values that best represent the voters of District 8.

Jon Krueger served 20 years as a Military Police Officer and retired in 2020 from the United States Air Force.  His Air Force career included deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, where he led people at every level.  He was handpicked to run for the District 8 Senate Seat by Senator Christy Zito, the Incumbent, and a staunch conservative legislator.  Currently, he is the Chairman of the Rattlesnake Liberty Alliance in Elmore County.

Mr. Krueger wants to bring conservative voting power to the Senate, to promote the passage of bills that matter to the people.  He plans to sponsor initiatives that reduce taxes, protect personal, family and small business freedoms within Idaho, and assure the integrity of our vote with common sense election reforms.  Jon would pursue changes to Idaho Land use policies at both the state and federal level to increase the bounty of our state.  And finally, he would represent the will of Idahoans by holding the executive branch, and all levels of government, accountable for acting in the interest of lobbies and special interest groups over the citizens.

Mr. Krueger lives in Mountain Home.  He brings a unique perspective to any conversation, having served in places around the world where the freedoms and liberties we enjoy are NOT the norm, nor even the expectation.   He believes in the US Constitution, and the stipulations within the Constitution that grant the legislature of each state the authority to create the Laws representing the people of the Land.  These laws must be in line with the principles of our founding fathers, most specifically Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.  He also believes the job of the legislature is to assure the law protects the people, not the government.  Jon Krueger is always engaging and willing to discuss these issues with his constituents with an unwavering and passionate dedication to truth and integrity. 

Our country is on the brink of WW3, inflation is destroying the average person’s ability to find shelter and afford to feed their families.  Yet, our leaders keep pushing us further into debt and uncertainty while restricting our individual rights.  They demand we fall in line with the agenda, buying “Tesla’s” instead of fossil fuel powered cars, or allow regulatory agencies and big pharma to mandate our personal medical choices.  These restrictions have infringed on our freedom to gather and worship and sing, to protest peacefully, to travel, even the freedom to leave your home!  Our federal government will continue to infringe on our rights, whether they be free speech, freedom of religion or freedom to protect ourselves by owning weapons.  The election of your next State Senators will be crucial to defending you from federal and state overreach.

Idaho needs to return to the conservative ideals desired by our citizens and not be indentured by career politicians in our legislature, like Terry Gestrin, or  like Geoff Schroeder (just another lawyer) or Gary Freeman (another current candidate for the seat).  Terry Gestrin currently holds a 72% Idaho Freedom Foundation Score (c minus!) and recently voted against moving forward the bills 448  (grocery tax) and 492 (gas tax).  Terry Gestrin has been a non-communicator (no legislative updates!) to his voting public.  There is no reason to promote this type of behavior and voting pattern.
