“I don’t know history. I know living memory.”
—Bunkwaney-Makú, spokesman of Ni’Kuma the governing body of the Arhuaco people.
Last week, our Bioregional Organizing Team sat down with our friend Bunkwaney-Makú—with our friend Bunkwaney-Makú —Spokesman of Ni’Kuma, representative of the supreme governing body of Pueblo Arhuaco. We gathered beside the river where he grew up in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the Heart of the World.
He is showing us what it means to truly live in right relationship with place. The Arhuaco are not celebrating the Earth one day a year. They have been living it for thousands of years. As bioregional embodiments, they are the representatives of the mountains, watersheds, flora and fauna in human form.
“A hummingbird — where does it study? Where is its university? It doesn’t destroy nature. It cares for it, protecting its own life. And in doing so, it cares for our lives.”
—Bunkwaney-Makú on what nature teaches that institutions cannot.
In a world flooded with Artificial Intelligence, it’s time to reorient around real AI — Ancestral Intelligence.
On Earth Day, together with Sun Nation and the Ka Foundation, we launched the Ancestral Wisdom Collective — a living space where this intelligence can be encountered, practiced, and remembered.
It is emergent. Organic. Imperfect. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Together, we are dreaming of 2 million friends of the Heart of the World.

This space is for you if you feel a deeper calling.
Maybe it is a quiet knowing that the world has lost its way. Maybe it is a longing to understand what it truly means to live in harmony with the Earth. Maybe you feel, somewhere deep inside, that there is a wisdom older than anything you have been taught — and that this wisdom is waiting to be remembered.
This is a gathering place for people from every corner of the world who are ready to listen. Not just to ideas — but to voices that have been holding the memory of life in balance for thousands of years. The Original Peoples of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta have carried this knowledge through generations of silence. And now, with great care and great urgency, they are choosing to share it.
This is not a classroom. This is not a course. This is a living community, built around a living transmission. Here, you will hear directly from the wisdom keepers. You will learn the cosmology of the mountains — how they understand the Earth, the water, the sky, the seed, and the human being’s place within it all. You will connect with others who share this calling. And through your presence here, you will become part of something much larger than yourself.
Welcome, Child of the Heart of the World.

“The Heart of the World is beating for everyone.”

Below is a little photo diary by Pablo Rojas from Sun Nation showcasing the joyful filming process for the Ancestral Wisdom Collective. As a Bioregional Organizing Team, we’ll continue documenting our natural weaving process with the Elder Brothers of Humanity.
