What you can expect from Raising Bigs / Beyond Babies

When i first started this page i had an idea of what i wanted to write about.. Raising big kids! Naturally like many things, this has evolved into more.

I was inspired recently by Motherhood Between Meetings when i saw her note talking about the content pillars of her page.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my pillars since then. What things have i naturally gravitated to writing about? What do i enjoy writing about? And I’ve come up with my own 3 pillars for my page..

1. As my name would suggest, i want to talk about raising big kids! I’m beyond the baby stage now, my youngest child is 3. I want to create a community where we can discuss the highs and low of raising big kids in this modern world. I’ve never raised a teenager before, so im hoping to surround myself with fellow tween and teen parents, seasoned parents, grandparents; people who can maybe offer advice or support while we navigate this stage together.

2. As a mother of 4 children, i love to talk about how i’m raising my big family. I love talking about our outsdoorys life, our back to camping fun, the way my children play together and are the best of friends with each other. I enjoy writing generally about my motherhood experience of raising my wonderful children.

3. I’ve had a rough 3 years since my last child was born. It was the hardest 3 years of my life and i was firmly in survival mode. Now, thanks to a combination of the children being older and some very difficult life circumstances getting easier, i finally feel i am entering my thriving instead of surviving era. This is something i am VERY excited about! I didn’t start this page to talk about this, but its bringing me so much joy i feel called to share more about this journey.

So there we have it. These three things are what my page will probably feature the most. I am however only human, so in time this may evolve again, who knows!
