Building an agent used to be hard. Just 6 months ago, it meant setting up an n8n or a LangChain workflow – or thousands of workflows.
Today, it’s much simpler.
In fact, in the next 15 mins, you’ll build one yourself – no technical background needed.
In the past, we’ve created simple agents.
But today, we’ll build your AI marketing analyst agent. It watches your social channels and tells you what worked, what didn't, and what you should do next.
We’re calling it “Moneypenny”, and we’ll build this with Hyperagent.
We’re building this with Hyperagent because it lets us create the workflows, skills, and agents we need without writing code.
And because this is a Hyperagent-sponsored tutorial, they’re giving This Week in AI readers $200 in free AI credits.

I got a message a few days ago from a reader wanting to know how she could use AI in marketing.
Now we do this daily – push content (market our ideas) and ensure that there’s growth in it
So, Moneypenny is a way for us to agentify our lessons and internal processes.
Lastly, this tutorial showcases Hyperagent’s capabilities. You can use this to create your own agents to solve your problems.
Sounds good? Before we start,
Let’s build our first part of this agent:
This is a simple workflow, but it’s the foundation that “Moneypenny”, and later “Hound”, will build on.
What will this workflow do?
Pull analytics from our social media accounts and show them on a single dashboard.
How will it work?
Hyperagent can access external tools like X, YouTube, etc. through “API” integrations.
Worth noting that Substack does not provide APIs for reading data (not to us, anyway). Hence, we use our daily & weekly Google Sheets trackers as the source of all data.
Tools this workflow will use:
Built-in API Connectors for X & YouTube
Google Sheets for Substack
Build Process (5 mins)
Create your account on Hyperagent (or log in if you already have an account with them)
Go to the “Threads” section on the top right and paste this prompt in.
Hyperagent will get to work, create a plan, and, once done, ask you to approve the plan.
You can read the plan that it created, but we’ve built this like 2-3 times in the past week (;-;). So, you can click on “Approve plan”.
This prompt only covers Substack, X, and YouTube — to serve our use case. If you’re on any other platform, you can mention it in the thread — and it’ll contextually update the prompt.Once it’s done, it’ll ask you for the social media account links. Provide those links
And then it will ask you to complete the connections
Once done, voila!
Hyperagent made a skill named “moneypenny-analytics” while creating the dashboard. This skill has our analytics codified for periodic (daily) use.
Frequency & Costs
Every day at 9AM, the workflow runs, the skill gets called and the dashboard gets new data
It only cost us $13 to build this dashboard. Every workflow run after this costs only ~$0.50!
Now let’s take it up a notch and make this dashboard “intelligent”!
You put out a tweet or a LinkedIn post and hope to go viral someday. Moneypenny turns this activity into science.
What will Agent Moneypenny do?
Agent Moneypenny will look at the data thus far and
Review the overall channel performance
Compare last week’s posts against the platform average
Identify winners and losers
Give 3 insights — what worked and didn’t work
Give 3 actions to improve results
Tall order but …
How will it work?
For each platform, its respective skills will pull insights and suggest improvement areas.
The workflow differs from platform to platform too.
Tools this agent will use:
Platform-specific skills
Inbuilt Socut agent to pull info off platforms
Let’s build (takes only 5 mins)
In the same thread as the last one, add this prompt.
We’re adding the agentic analyst to the dashboard that we created in the last step.
This will create a new agent called “Moneypenny” within the existing dashboard.
We also added a weekly cadence to it. Every Monday morning at 9AM this agent will analyse the performance of the past week.
Once done, your dashboard should look like this.
Moneypenny knows what your audience is doing and what you can do.
The next step is giving it eyes on the rest of your market.
That’s where Hound comes in...
Hound is our niche intelligence agent, i.e., within our niche, it will
pull trending topics
pull outlier content pieces
pull outlier creators
pull general customer trends
Now’s this for homework for you. The process looks the same.
Type your broad requirements on a notepad
Go to Claude and prompt it to create a “PRD” for these features.
Whatever prompt you get, add it to the same Hyperagent thread.
With a few clicks, Hyperagent will get your agent made!
Now, we don’t want to leave you hanging. So, we’ll be posting a complete video of this build on our YouTube channel next Wednesday. So subscribe to us there to receive it.
If you get stuck anywhere, reach out to us directly via chat or email hello@thisweekinai.club. We’ll get on a 30-min call to walk you through the process. No charges; we’re doing it for the community!
Hyperagent is a pretty versatile tool.
You can build dashboards, websites, videos, and images — all this before you even touch building skills and agents!
And to try all of this, you get AI credits worth $200 — free!
If you haven’t got on the agent-building bandwagon, this is a platform you don’t want to miss.
Again, be a good human and share this with your peers and loved ones so they can also upskill themselves!
Until next week,
Auf Wiedersehen!
Hyperagent let's you build a team of specialist agents with defined jobs, shared context, and clear handoffs.
They run on schedules in the cloud, pass work to one another, and bring you in when a decision requires your judgment.
Hyperagent is giving away $200 in credits to This Week in AI’s readers!
