When I moved from Spain to Scotland to study film and literature, I never thought I would become worried about climate change, the state of the world, and becoming a vegan.
But it happened.
As many of you may know, once you start learning about the bad things we humans have done to our lovely planet, there is no way back, and sometimes, it can get dangerous, to the point that even forgetting to compost an apple core gets stressful and bring us guilt.
It wasn’t until I discovered the term climate storytelling a couple of years ago that I thought, ‘There might be a way to express this anger and stress and maybe find other lost, anxious souls dealing with the same thoughts I am.
That is why I am starting this little space to think, gather thoughts, and rummage about climate, sustainability, and the little things we can do to overcome climate anxiety while sharing our journey and creating awareness wherever we go.

A new storytelling method to try out
I know it is basic, but it is true. Exercise! Go outside!
It is important to know everything, do our research, worry, read, listen, watch, and keep learning about ways to fix the world. But there is nothing for you to fix if you don’t fix yourself first.
Since I moved to NYC and started running, my life has changed.
Life in this city can be challenging and stressful, and when you suffer from climate anxiety, this might be the worst place to be. You see the worst and the best of the world all together. Everyone is running around, buying, wasting, and working, and it is so important to remember that the world is a vast place; get out, run, exercise, and go for a walk in the morning, but truly make it part of your routine, before starting to put your brain to work.
You can follow me on Strava. I hear it is pretty helpful to see others uploading their activities to motivate you to go out yourself.
I work at Rethink Food, a non-profit on a mission to create a more sustainable and equitable food system. As senior manager of social media and content, I have learned a lot about the importance of food.
Not only have I met incredible minds, people, and changemakers in the food scene but also in the climate scene since food is strongly connected to climate change and truly is key in turning the wheel and helping Mother Earth and each other.
Did you know that 38 million people in the U.S. lack reliable access to nutritious meals while 42% of the nation’s food supply goes uneaten, and it is responsible for 8-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions?
Well, that’s why I included this section here: to share some cool ideas I learn about at work or through my own research. I love fermentation, and it truly is impressive and so interesting.
You can follow me on TikTok for recipes and other sustainability tips. I am still working on my video making, but follow for a journey.

Here’s a little assignment for you.
Every action has a story. Think of a moment when you realized your connection to the planet—maybe it was seeing pollution firsthand, hearing a family member’s perspective on sustainability, or simply noticing the beauty of nature.
This week, write a short reflection (even just a few sentences) on that moment. What did it teach you? How did it shape your outlook?
Because storytelling is a remedy, and your voice matters. If you feel inspired, share it with someone—or with us!
Until then…
