Apparently, the majority of people doesn’t like to hang on to summer for as long as possible, like me – and everybody is already talking about fall fashion. I feel like this year summer hasn’t really been here, which is why I am not ready to talk about fall yet?! But, I don’t write this newsletter for myself alone, and if you’re already thinking about your fall outfits, let’s dig into it.
A few weeks ago I saw a TikTok video from a Coach employee showing their new Brookyln Bags and I immediately fell in love. The sizes are perfect for either a smaller day bag or for work. The Brown in the 28’ size really caught my eye, but the bags are indeed on the pricier side #cryyyy.
Brown is definetly in my favourites list of colors and I think there is nothing greater than a brown bag for fall. Specifically with the cow print trend going on, it’s perfect. I tagged a few bags that I really like for this season right here for you:
Brown just goes amazing with a neutral color palette and is so versatile. But if you know me, you know my absolute favourite color is blue and that doesn’t change this fall. I am currently also obsessed with setting highlights in my outifts with silver.
I think blue and silver go super well with brown, beige and grey, which are pretty much fall colors. But using these pops of color and shimmer is a great way to set a highlight in your outfit. Here is also a little selection of metallic, silver and blue bags I like currently <3
I own the Telfar x Eastpak Bag in size medium myself and it’s the absolute best work bag. You can wear it crossbody but also as a backpack and it’s simply an iconic collaboration. The Longchamp Le Pliage Bags in Size L are also amazing bags for work: they’re basically indistructable (yes the edges get a bit messy but besides), they’re water resistant and have a wide bottom, so you can rest them on the bottom without it falling over.
And because we all know bag charms are an absolute must right now, I also checked out a few cute pieces for you. As some of you might know: I purchased the Ganni Bag Charm in silver in Copenhagen and it had a defect (I got a refund tho <3) – but because I loved it so much I got a new one on my trip to Amsterdam. It’s so nice to put on your belt loop too!
But enough about the new hot shit, let’s dig into the old hot shit. I made a selection for you, my dear subscribers, of some great vintage finds on Vestiaire Collective. I even found that Brooklyn Coach bag there!
Also, if you feel like browsing, here are some bag brands that have a really beautiful selection and are a bit less known:
Cala Jade, Lea Roesch, Figarine, The New Studio, The New Studio, Adax
This was a quick and dirty issue of This Girl I Follow and I hope you enjoyed this one too. I am always thankful for feedback – so feel free to leave a comment or DM me on Instagram <3
