The sword Wærgwengléom is stolen from the kindlinger abbey - where the Friar Cynwerd foments treason. Performed by Charles Villard.
This is the beginning of an epistolary fantasy adventure told through missives and diary entries of the mendicant Cynwerd and his companion, Bridd, the pigeon.
“The Friar” is the first short audio drama I started making in 2021. Except for a brief stint in the public eye, I’ve kept it under wraps. It’s not finished and I’m a bit shy about it. However, the Friar Cynwerd is one of my favorite characters, Charles’s performance is great, and the story is good. The audio quality not so much. Note: I no longer have the master, but “The Friar” is ready for an audience.
This story for the time being is for patrons. You help me pay actors, artists, musicians, and license sound effects and software 🖤.
On the Thief-iverse: While they may not intersect directly, “The Friar” takes place in the same city -- Áendhrod -- as “The Thief.” Cynwerd’s story slightly precedes Symphony’s.
