The question is now an old friend for most hockey fans. How can we compare the performance of a player in Finnish Junior league with a player from the USHL? Or what’s the equivalent of scoring 50 points in the ECHL for the German DEL? We tackled this question last year with our Selective Network NHLe article.
That means, at the end of the current 2023-24 season, new updated NHLe values can be drawn, using data from 2019-20 onward.
What are the trends?
Things have continued to stabilize for most leagues (no big disturbances from an NHL expansion, KHL affairs, etc.). KHL is moving up for the first time in 7 years.
SHL is down a bit, is that the effect of the exodus of key players towards Switzerland? We see that the Swiss NL keeps on climbing.
Almost all leagues are up to date in our database, so here it goes.
