My Friend,
Before the year draws to a close, I want to share my deep appreciation for you and for you choosing to be part of the Zest family. You are the reason The Zest exists.
The year saw four volumes published containing over 500 reflections from writers around the world. Who would have thought an exercise in a class on imagination would have grown to what the Zest is today? Again, I thank you.
I am so excited about where it is headed as we enter 2026.
First, The Zest of the Lemon site has been reworked to offer a gentle, ever-changing place to read, reflect, and share. I offer it as a gift with an open invitation to visit often.
There are plans for digital and printed upcoming versions of The Zest. These will evolve as flow allows. I will keep you posted.
And of course, there are these letters.
Here is a preview of what to expect.
What did I see this week?
I saw crows walking in the rain. I do not speak Crow, but their body language said, “ What are we doing walking in the rain?”
I saw a sunset that started as a subtle rose strip, exploded to a tangerine and red display that filled the horizon, then shifted back to a subtle rose strip. My thought was, “ I wonder if death is like that, subtle, then an explosion, then back to subtle, and finally peace.
What did I share?
Until next week -
Wishing you and yours all the Zest life offers.
Dave
