I was 17, still raw from losing my friend to suicide, when I started slipping away to the city. I was searching recklessly, slipping into places I shouldn't have been, but I was lucky. A group of good men from a gay church took me under their wings—no questions, no judgment. They invited me to their services, gave me a place to belong, and introduced me to things like PFLAG. For the first time, I started to understand who I was. But before I could find the words to tell my mom, she pieced it together—guy friends from the church were calling me to check in or invite me to things, it sparked her quiet intuition. She asked, and I had no way to hide anymore. It wasn’t easy, but having the church’s support made it easier with my mom. The rest of my family was not, and is a different story for another time. But that church, Dignity, saved me from a path I might not have survived.
My Worthy Pride is for everyone who needs that kind of luck—the safety to discover who they are without shame. This is a brave space where queer identity is honored, where grief and joy can coexist, and where liberation is daily work. We don’t rush healing or demand performance. We hold space for your truth, one breath at a time.
As one of the four pillars of The Worthy Mindset, co-created by me, Rich Dornisch, and Khalil Sautchuk Jezini, My Worthy Pride™ protects the worthiness of queer souls. We’re not a brand—we’re a movement for those who live beyond the mold, against the pressure to shrink. As a subscriber, you'll gain access to content across all four pillars of The Worthy Mindset: The Worthy Leader, The Worthy Writer, The Worthy Foundation, and My Worthy Pride.
Every post and tool is written like a letter from someone who’s been there. Here’s what we offer:
Pride Stories: Reflections on coming out, healing, and finding community, rooted in real experience.
Worthy Pride Tools: Breathwork, journaling, and practices to ground you in safety and self-trust.
Letters of Affirmation: Words to yourself, allies, or loved ones—because you deserve to know you’re enough.
Community Threads: Safe spaces to share your story, guided by the truth that it takes a village to protect a worthy soul.
LGBTQ+ Resources: Support for mental health and wellness, curated for when you need it most.
Journaling for Worthy Pride: A 7-day self-paced course to help you explore your queer identity through journaling, reclaim your narrative, and build self-compassion.
Putting Down the Mask: Living Authentically: A 14-day self-paced course to help you shed the expectations of others, embrace your true self, and live with unapologetic pride.
Queer life is a spiral—tender, messy, sacred. The world often asks us to justify our existence, but we believe:
Your identity is valid without explanation.
Safety should never mean hiding your truth.
Joy is a resource, not a requirement.
My Worthy Pride turns pride into practice. Every piece is crafted to meet you where you are, to offer real support, and to hold space for what’s true and needed in your life.
