Circular Reasoning

I spied a shapely shape

For what it really was

a circle,

rounding ‘round about

circling just because

nought a beginning or an end

but circling all about,

the round,

resounding roundness goes

in a line not thin or stout

All curve, no sharp edge

In the middle you can stand,

the circle,

going one way or the other

you could throw it from your hand

A ball, plate, or geometry

to play, clean, or do,

so circular,

circles come in every shape

in every rounded hue
