I don’t love how I set up my summer reading list this year (I like last year’s much more) but it exists and it’s functional. I ran out of rating stickers but more are en route.
This year’s Writerly Reading Bingo includes journal prompts for each square, and this is where I really wish I had ended up with a Weeks Mega, as I would probably go ahead and set up a page to journal about each square. Instead, I will do that somewhere else.
I have a new, separate reading journal for any kid- and homeschool-related books, although I will still list them in my Hobonichi Weeks. (Does that make sense? I’m not sure it does to me, either. Basically when I was ordering a homeschool planner from Schoolnest I ordered a reading journal, too, because I really like the layout. And maybe I should just track all reading in there but the Weeks format is really working for me for tracking a daily poem and essay/ short story.)
So, my plan is essentially to use this list to track my progress and my ratings, additional thoughts and feelings will go elsewhere.
Like I said, it’s not a great set-up! I will think this through more next year, assuming I’m again going to attempt to reading the following school year’s literature during our summer break.
