Comment on Chinese Zucchini Pancakes by Keith

In reply to Susan. I wondered the same thing, but since they didn’t say to drain it, and it was never mentioned again, I’m assuming it just stays in the bowl. It probably would have been more clear not to even mention it, lol.

Really enjoyed reading about your chicken experiences. And thank you for all your recipes,I print them all out and have quite a big folder of them. Love Chinese food and eat it often.

Comment on Mango Muffins with Crumb Topping by Nancy

These muffins were good, great, delicious. I used Ataulfo mangos from Mexico. I will use the topping as my new favourite crisp for Apple Crumble or any other recipe that has a topping. I will be putting this recipe in my personal cookbook and will make it forever and ever and I will be following Sarah forever and ever. Thank you

Comment on Thai Vegetable Curry by Mandy

This looks delicious and I have tons of vegetables in the garden to use up. I don't have the Asian eggplant, but I do have a mini-Italian variety I plan on using instead. I also have all the other ingredients, ready to go. But I just looked at the back of a full fat coconut milk can (which feels solid btw) and see that it also has guar gum in it. It that still okay to use? I wanted to make this…

FINALLY! I have been searching for a simple version of this, and I've found it! (I was so excited that I created an account to save my favorites here!). Q: I noticed that there is a 1 week "keep and use" recommendation -- can I double the batch and freeze portions for later use?

Comment on Chinese Birthday Traditions by Mary

I have never ever heard of the 9s being celebrated. Only 10s - even the photo you have in the post is of his grandma's 100 year old bday which of course ends in 0. 😅 Perhaps this is regional in your part of China? There's even a saying for us: 逢九不過生日
