Since starting this Substack, I have always wondered what it might look like if I were to make it a real life event. It was during a chat with the wonderful Partnerships Manager at The Trampery, that I realised, this was the place I wanted to bring this Substack to life.

To celebrate the 50th edition of this newsletter, I am excited to bring you Friday Funding Chats LIVE: Stop Guessing, Start Funding. It’s a culmination of all the conversations that I have with founders about funding their impact driven businesses, and the future I want to imagine for the businesses that read this newsletter, or that work with me personally.

Not only will we be networking with like minded, purpose driven founders, we’ll be hearing from two exciting panelists in the purpose driven space.

Kae Katz - Founder of FibreLab, an innovative fibre recycling company that keeps textile waste local and valuable by turning it into new material. She has raised money through grants, competitions and bootstrapping.

Sara Elkholy - Founder of Anaya Advisory. Sarah was the Programme Director for the Circular Fashion Innovation Network (CFIN), a programme she led across the British Fashion Council and UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT), aimed at accelerating the UK towards a circular fashion ecosystem. She now runs her own company, Anaya Advisory, supporting SMEs, Start-Ups and Non-Profits on Strategy, Growth, Circularity, Funding & Strategic Partnerships and more!

I’ll be speaking to them about getting Innovate UK grants, growing with purpose and profit, and what it’s actually like to fund a business as an under-represented founder.

We’ll be at The Trampery, Fish Island, a purpose-led enterprise providing workspaces, venues, training, and management services, dedicated to making business a positive force in society. FibreLab have their offices at The Trampery, so it felt like an apt location to have this conversation.
