The priest and the murderer

Buzz Kantwrite · The Will to Banter

The priest visited the convicted murderer. He was to be executed at dawn.

The priest believed there was good in everyone. People were pushed by circumstance onto dark paths and became stuck in their ways. Even when a man felt no remorse for his crimes, he might still regret the moment that had set him on the path towards them.

Imagination could unlock the hardest of hearts. To reveal the light buried beneath the darkest of souls, you simply had to ask the right questions.

The priest said to the convicted murderer, “Tell me. If you could go back in time to any moment in history, when would it be?”

“I’d go back and see Jesus—”

“Good one—”

“ON THE CROSS.”

“Okay…”

His last request was to go bowling. He bowled, it ripped his leg off, then he hopped away and made his escape… He also got a strike. So an all around super lucky day for him. Very unlucky for his next victims though, which there were many.

Added an original sketch for this old classic (self-confessed)…
