Where’s the new Venus Spectacular chapter?

Let’s get to the point: the new chapter of The Venus Spectacular isn’t up yet.

But why? Did something bad happen?

No, nothing disastrous happened; there’s just a writing project I want to get out of the way first. It’s a short story related to the revival of a stillborn series I attempted in 2019 but failed to write a sequel for. I feel I have to write this one now, at this moment. As soon as I’m done, I’ll get right back on the Venus chapters. (I only have a few left for this season anyway.)

The Venus Spectacular isn’t going in one of those indefinite hiatuses that indicate writer laziness or lack of discipline; quite the opposite. I’ve been diligent about writing, moreso than even I thought possible. It’s just that sometimes, you want to spend a little time away from one story so that you can come back to it with a sense of excitement.

That’s what’s going on, so be patient. I haven’t forgotten about this story. I didn’t even forget where I was going with this.
