The Upsetter recently revealed in The Sun on Sunday that the King had been warned as many as thirty of his armed royal protection cops at Windsor Castle were under investigation for sleeping on night duty.
The news broke shortly before Thames Valley Police put out a call for witnesses, having spectacularly arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor three months earlier on suspicion of misconduct in a public office (MIPO).
The former prince is suspected of leaking a document to his pedo pal Jeffrey Epstein. But Thames Valley cops are now seeking witnesses to sexual misconduct that could form part of a MIPO charge.
Royal cops are likely to hold the crown jewels when it comes to evidence in this realm but, as this newsletter previously reported, many royal peccadilloes were written up in so-called ‘green sheets’ that the Metropolitan police Special Branch is unlikely to disclose without a judicial inquiry.
The Windsor cop carry on is the latest in a long tradition of armed cops royally taking the piss.
Few have come forward about Andrew because of a fear of reprisals. This latest scandal shows others may have kept silent because they were asleep on the job.
Here’s the inside story of The Upsetter scoop.
