I need to tell you about the quiet little sentence that’s been running my entire life without my permission, because I’m almost positive you’ve got one too.

Mine went something like: don’t get too comfortable.

It played under everything. Something good would happen and instead of just enjoying it, that sentence would surface, soft and automatic, like a hand on my shoulder pulling me back. Don’t get too comfortable. Don’t get too attached. Keep one eye on the exit. And I never once questioned it, because it didn’t feel like a belief I was choosing. It felt like wisdom. Like being smart. Like the responsible, realistic way to move through the world.

It took me years to realize that sentence wasn’t protecting me. It was an assumption. And I was living my whole life from it.

There’s a concept called the Law of Assumption. Neville Goddard is the one who really taught it, and honestly most modern manifestation teachers are just repackaging him whether they credit him or not. And the core of it is almost stupidly simple, which is exactly why it’s so easy to miss:

Not what you want. Not what you wish for. What you actually, deep-down assume. The assumptions you hold so quietly you don’t even notice you’re holding them. Those are the ones running the whole show.

And here’s the part that stopped me cold, the part I really need you to sit with:

You are already doing this.

All day.

Every day.

You have never once stopped.

You’re assuming things about your life constantly, and your nervous system treats every one of those assumptions as an instruction, and then your whole world quietly organizes itself around them. The problem is nobody ever told you that. So you’ve been assuming on autopilot, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve been assuming the worst.

  • You assume it probably won’t work out.

  • You assume that if you stop worrying about it, that’s exactly when it’ll fall apart.

  • You assume the other shoe is about to drop. You assume you have to grip the good thing or lose it.

  • You assume there won’t be enough.

And then your brain, which is very obedient, goes and finds you the evidence. Not because the universe is cruel. Because you’re filtering all of reality through the lens of what you already decided was true. You assume scarcity, you notice scarcity. You assume it’s all going to go wrong, and you clock every sign that it might while missing every sign that it won’t.

Which means the whole game was never whether you get to assume things about your life. You’re going to do that no matter what. The only question, the entire question, is which assumption you’re going to live from. And most of us were handed the worst one and told it was just “being realistic.”

So here’s where it gets good. If assumptions are the thing running everything, and you’re assuming all day anyway, then you get to consciously choose a better one. You get to trade don’t get too comfortable for everything is always working out for me.

But — and this is the part every manifestation teacher waves their hands over, the part that actually matters, the reason you’ve tried this before and it didn’t stick —

knowing you should assume better and actually being able to is a completely different thing.

And there’s a specific reason your body won’t just let you swap the old assumption for the new one, no matter how many times you say it in the mirror.

Here’s everything waiting on the other side of this:

  1. What the Law of Assumption actually says about “everything is working out for me” — why it’s not positive thinking or wishing, and the Neville concept (”living in the end”) that flips the whole thing.

  2. The belief-equals-assumption mechanism — the piece that finally explains why you can decide something is true and still not feel it, and why that’s not a you problem.

  3. Why tapping is the missing piece the pure-manifestation people don’t have — the actual how underneath the Law of Assumption.

  4. The all-day practice — a concrete way to live from the new assumption in the small moments of your day, not just for the 10 minutes we tap.

  5. 15 Minute Expansion Tap on: Everything works out for me - (at the bottom of the post) — a brand new method where we don’t dig, we rise. We install the new assumption straight into your body until it’s the thing you feel instead of the thing you’re forcing.

You walk away from this one expanded, not exhausted. That’s the whole point of this kind of tap.

This is the room where you stop assuming the worst and start living from the end. [come assume better with me] 🤍
