Last week, I told you about how the huge, best-we’ve-ever-seen offer for 150,000 points on this card was ending soon and that I’d give you a heads-up once we had an actual date.
Well, friend. This is it: this unicorn offer ends June 15th by 9 am ET.
This has by far been the most popular offer over the past few weeks!!
I’m actually a little salty about it because I can’t open it. You might remember that I told you I planned to open it. Wellll, I didn’t realize I was at 5/24 for another month. BOO!
I use Travel Freely to keep track of my cards and my 5/24 status, and one of my cards from last year somehow slipped through the cracks and wasn’t counting toward my number. Even though that was a little hiccup (I’ve never had that mistake happen before!), I highly recommend using Travel Freely to help you keep track of your cards, spending due dates, 5/24 status, etc.
I’m so bummed for myself, but so excited that so many of you are able to jump on this amazing offer before it ends!
➡️ Check out my card deep dive to learn more about it.
Reminder: the fee is big, but the benefits are WAY bigger!! See my interactive value calculator so you can do the math for yourself! I also posted over on Instagram about how I’m willing to pay such a big fee because of the benefits. Check it out!
If you’re looking for something different, there are a bunch of elevated airline card offers right now!
➡️ If you live in a Delta hub or love to fly Delta, check these out
➡️ If you’re interested in a Japan or Hawaii trip, live on the West Coast, or want to use miles to fly partners like American, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, Qatar, and more, check these out
➡️ If you like flying Southwest or want miles that will go toward a Companion Pass, check these out
Two weeks ago, my daughter and I took a trip to New York City with my mom. My 40th birthday is in August, and my mom wanted to book a girls’ trip for the three of us to celebrate.
We all wanted to visit the city (my 6th time there. I love it so much), but we didn’t want to go in August 🥵 So we chose the end of May. It was perfect!! The weather was gorgeous and it wasn’t insanely crowded.
It was the perfect classically New York trip.
NYC is SO easy to do with points and miles. Tons of flight and hotel options. I recapped our whole trip in this Instagram highlight, so check it out if you’re planning a trip to the Big Apple!
It’s officially summer, which means travel season is in full swing. Social media is inundated with posts about all of the amazing trips people are taking. Which is great! But can also cause some majorrrr fomo.
So let me tell you this: we have zero travel plans this summer. Even though it’s literally my job to teach people how to travel more. Are you shocked??
The thing is, there’s a season for everything.
And for us, we’re in a slow-down-on-traveling season. It’s due to a variety of things - limited PTO at my husband’s job, kid schedules/jobs that are hard to work around, unexpected expenses that have popped up (adulting can be so lame sometimes), and a smattering of other things.
So we’re slowing down. We actually only have one big trip planned, and that’s Maui in October (planning recapped here).
And that’s okay! I have some general ideas about what I want to book for next year, but I’m not doing it yet.
So, if you’re in the same boat - having fomo, wishing you were traveling more, wanting to get trips booked - just know you’re not alone!
The most important thing right now is to be continuously opening cards and earning points, even if you’re not using them yet. The more points you have, the more options you have for when the time is right!
On the flip side, if you have big, fun travel plans this summer, hit reply or comment and tell me about them! I love hearing your travel wins!!!
If you want help figuring out what to do with what you have, just reply to this email or comment below! I read every response and love helping families see what’s possible.
Have a great day and happy travels 🫶
XO,
Jenna
