Donald Trump’s love-hate relationship with the Supreme Court hit a new snag on Monday when his (second) appeal against a judgment that he sexually abused and defamed writer E. Jean Carroll was denied (again).
Never one to accept a decision that went against him, the president had tried to overturn a jury verdict that awarded $5 million to Carroll, who had claimed he sexually assaulted her in the dressing room of a store 30 years ago.
Trump insisted Carroll’s accusations were a “hoax” and “a con job.”
He has paid the writer the $5 million award after his first appeal was rejected.
Maybe he’ll try for third time lucky?
