Friday, the San Antonio Spurs signed 6’3” guard Taelon Peter to a training camp contract.
Peter was drafted 54th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers a year ago and went on to sign a two-way contract with the team.
He appeared in 38 games with the Pacers last season, averaging 12.9 minutes, 4.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.7 turnovers. He attempted 3.3 three-point attempts per game and made 32.8% of them.
On July 20, a few weeks ago, the Pacers waived him to create an open two-way spot for Jalen Slawson.

Peter signed an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the opportunity to earn a $91K bonus if Peter is waived and then signs with the Austin Spurs in the G-League. He would then need to spend at least 60 days with Austin to earn the bonus.
