Hello dear Robert, would you please explain why there is so little investigative reporting uncovering the deep hostility, dysfunction and breakdown in relations between BP and KP? You've occasionally spoken about the lack of collaboration and harmony between the households, but I really do think it's a topic the public merits knowing much more about. It isn't open warfare, but there clearly does seem to be a hostile cold war going on. I always perceived that part of the reason the situation with Kate's health degenerated so damagingly is due to the open brinkmanship, total lack of cooperation and one-upmanship going on. The UK Head of State's office being so factional and dysfunctional is highly alarming, and it's absolutely something the public should know more about. The King's office proudly briefing Katie Nicholl at Vanity Fair that his successor was kept in the dark about the Highgrove meeting is just one recent example that comes to mind. The fact that briefing wasn't denied or rebutted underlines how deeply toxic the whole situation is. There seems to be revelry and mischief on BP's part in painting William as a villain, doing the opposite of de-escalating things. The unprofessionalism is breathtaking, honestly! Are folks at BP arrogantly thinking that smearing the successor as much as possible is what will ensure the long-term survival and sustainability of the institution? Have they seen polls, are they aware of the current socio-political climate? This isn't 20, 30, 40 years ago, where QE2 could give a speech and instantly generate goodwill. They really are playing with fire, or they have no idea how hostile people under 45 already are towards all of the Windsors. I saw a Daily Mail article from the early 2000s, a piece by Geoffrey Levy about the Golden Jubilee… Charles's camp were briefing about Elizabeth behaving as if she'd be the last monarch, only looking out for herself and what was good for her, rather than looking out for the wider institution and looking out for its successors. Ironically, it's very much Charles who seems to be doing that today.
