Okay, I’ve had a lot of messages about this topic—so let’s talk about the new co-author trend.

Below, I’ll explain why I think Andrews & Wilson helped change the action-thriller business, what it’s really like to co-write a novel, why Simon and I can no longer tell who wrote which parts of our own books, and why pairings like Brad Thor & Ward Larsen and Carr & Woodward might tell us something important about where publishing is headed next.

I’ll also get into why the rapidly changing economics of publishing could make co-writing even more attractive in the years ahead, which major thriller characters I think are begging for their own spinoffs, and my dream idea for an Avengers-style collaboration featuring some of the biggest names in the genre.

Oh, and one more thing…

I fully expect more major thriller authors to announce co-writing partnerships in the not-too-distant future.
