The windows are finally flung open, the kids are officially out of school, and the whole house seems to exhale. Summer doesn’t begin on the calendar for me. It begins the moment I bring fresh flowers in from outside, the moment I swap heavy throws for something lighter, the moment the light in the living room turns that warm, golden color it only gets in June. That feeling? That’s what I’m always chasing when I design.
Long weekends mean slow mornings, impromptu dinners on the patio, children draped across every piece of furniture, and the house gets truly lived-in in the most beautiful way. And honestly, that’s the whole point, isn’t it?
My cardinal rule in design is that a home should always feel as good as it looks.

They’re lightweight, they layer beautifully, and there’s something about that scalloped edge that just makes the whole bed feel dressed rather than thrown together.
Then come the pillows. This is where I genuinely cannot help myself. We’ve just launched some new patterns I’m absolutely besotted with—the blue floral ruffled shams I’ve been styling in our bedroom look like something out of an English country house, and the stripe bolsters mix in so easily with everything. Pattern mixing is something I’m asked about constantly,
