Welcome to Chapter three, Part one. During this chapter we introduce the kingdom plantae, and gain an understanding of plant needs and behavior. Having a deep understanding of what a plant needs and how a plant behaves will not only help you select plants for polycultures, but it will also guide implementation and management practices - i.e, how to plant out, fertilize, irrigate, prune, propagate, protect and harvest.
