In lieu, may I present you with my all-time favourite magazine piece: Rich Cohen’s seminal profile of Jerry Weintraub, the man who took Elvis on the road, Sinatra out of retirement, and brought the Ocean’s 11 revival into being.
It’s no understatement to say the article changed my life: inspiring me to dare more greatly, say yes before having a plan, do things solely for the story, to “live and live and live”. Sometimes we can’t see the path - one off the beaten track - until others forge it for us.
