RGB lighting code

I had no idea how RGB lights were propped up on code from a solo dev in the late 2000s for so long. And how EVGA keeps creeping back up, lol.

Handsoff

Behind, but I attended the Washington DC protest last week. It was pretty humbling to see everyone out there. The support seemed to come from all walks of life. It felt as if there was some sanity left out there (yes, I couldn't help but think back to the Sanity/Fear Rally of 2010). With that said, it is a daily fight with my pessimism. I came out to be an additional statistic of support for what…

Pebble lives again

It looks like Pebble's revival is one step closer. New watches have been announced for pre-order. I'm intrigued, but a little concerned about only having a 30 day warranty. And how well this will work in iOS land. Edit: iOS land not fun

OK Go

OK Go has a history of making some pretty damn entertaining one take music videos. I can't fathom the coordination needed for that.

Growth at all costs

Ed Zitron has put together what I've been feeling a lot of lately regarding tech https://www.wheresyoured.at/never-forgive-them/ It's a long read. And not sure what can work as a solution honestly. Google Photos origins

I knew Google Photos was born out of Google+, but had no idea the origins of how that even happened. Turns out, we almost didn't get Google Photos and it originated from Bump

The weird rabbit holes

I love these very specific dives on sorta off hand things. Technology Connections even has a video sharing my view on amber turn signals , lol

End of an era

Anandtech closing shop I remember that AMD K6 review well. It's one of the things that help push my curiosity into building PCs and likely lead me to where I am today. I remember wanting to also grab whatever new hardware and write about it (kinda still do, lol). To be honest, I haven't read hit the AT links much. The site became a bit unbearable on ads (I tried to keep adblockers off it, but it…

Mini review: ESR Qi2 3-in-1 charger, meh

I bought the ESR Qi2 3-in1 charging stand when it was first released. I have an iPhone 12 mini and it wasn't originally supported, but I was future proofing. Sadly, these do not work well. It charges quickly but then suddenly just drops off like a rock around 80%. It was odd since it pretty consistent in slowing down around 80-90% regardless of when I started (be it from 40% or from 70%). And most…

Finally, a Zelda game

This has been a long time coming. Mixed feelings about the Links Awakening remake engine.
