I’ve been a bit out of pocket this weekend with some personal matters, but it’s plain to see that Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to dominate the box office. In the meantime, check out what else you might have missed on The Oscar Project last week.
Due to some other obligations, I didn’t get a chance to do a preview last week, but nothing was every going to oust Spider-Man: Brand New Day from the top spot of the box office. I’m not even sure anything throughout the rest of the month will achieve that feat.
I had two filmmakers on the podcast last week, one that has been on several times before, and one new guest. On Tuesday I spoke with Matt Kennard about his film “Before You Go” which premiered at Raindance earlier this summer. Then, on Friday, I sat down with Jonathan Hammond to discuss the 1931 film Skippy, Oscar winner for Best Director and nominee for Best Picture and two others!

I just came across this post from Amber Nelson this morning and absolutely loved it. I’ve always been fascinated by Marilyn Monroe and we’ve mentioned her a few times already on the podcast even though she was only 5 years old at the time I’m currently covering. This is an incredible look at what she might be like if she was alive and working in today’s world.
