The Noteworthy Edit · The Noteworthy Edit

I continue to be caught in the in-between that is (seemingly) always August.

I’m already starting to crave fall clothes (if you’ve been following for a while, you know I am a true fall girl at heart), but the reality is that there are still plenty of warm days ahead. I’m not quite ready to invest in a closet full of pieces I won’t be able to wear for another month or two, but I’m also not particularly interested in buying things that feel too summery at this point in the year.

So this month’s shopping edit is all about finding a happy medium.

This month I prioritized looking for pieces that you can wear right now, but that will also earn their keep as we transition into fall. Think lightweight knits, easy trousers, denim, suede accessories, and dresses made for layering. And because this time of year can also be a good moment to experiment with a trend or fill a hole in your wardrobe without making a major investment, everything in this month’s edit is under $150!

I’d love to know if you purchase anything I’ve shared below (or what you may be on the hunt for this fall) and don’t miss my updated style steals in the w&w shop!

Housekeeping note: This post is too long for email. Please enjoy it in the Substack app or on your desktop.

This is a top you could easily wear through early fall! Style it with shorts now, and jeans later. I’d reco sizing up.

I think introducing rich fabrics (like suede or velvet) can be a great way to lean into early fall, even when it still feels like 100° outside. Doing so in a flip flop feels seasonally appropriate.

I’m always on the hunt for easy, versatile pants — especially for travel! I’ve heard great things about this pair + they’re on sale atm. Pair them with this short sleeve sweater for a cute travel look!

Mango continues to impress with their bag collection. If you’re on the hunt for a work or school tote for the fall, this is my pick (and it comes in a few hues!)

How cute is the scarf detail!? It’s making me dream of 50° days in the English countryside!

The Gwyneth slip dress is finally back in stock at J.Crew! I love a dress you can style in the summer, then layer a sweater over come fall. I recommend sizing up in this style.

Very into this modern take on a classic denim jacket. Plus, it’s under $50.

This reminds me of a lace blouse I’ve owned and loved for years! I style mine with jeans and a flats for a classic, slightly romantic look.

I spotted this darling pointelle pajama set under $100 from one of my favorite brands. Great for summer and into fall.

I mean — was this baseball cap made for me or what?

This brand has a huge selection of on-trend bags that won’t break the bank, including this darling mini (faux) suede tote.

Don’t sleep on Madewell’s knits as we head into fall. I like the rollneck one this one, as it could function for cool beach nights and well into the autumn.

For budget friendly chic sunnies, this brand is my go-to.

My friend was on the hunt for a faux suede jacket for fall and alerted me this one is an amazing deal for the price!

I need another trench coat like I need a hole in the head, but this color + silhouette (and price) caught my attention!

A simple silk scarf is one of the easiest ways to elevate an outfit. I tie mine around my handbag or in my hair!

I’ve heard really amazing things about this jeans that make your legs look a million miles long.

Satin trousers are another transitional wardrobe staple, and such a fun alternative to jeans! This pair is under $100 and so chic.

T-shirt dresses are truly the unsung hero of late summer and early fall. Classic, versatile, and you can easily add or subtract layers depending on the temperature.

+ Even more things I am eyeing for the forthcoming season in the Seasonal Favorites Shop on w&w. Freshly updated!!!
