The New Future Adventure is a publication, an invitation and field notes for this pivotal time - for those who have outgrown the old system and are ready to shape what comes next. To become leaders who rise, create and lead for a new future.

Every episode, dispatch and letter is oriented toward one question: will you be shaped by what is happening - or will you shape what comes next?

The core idea

At its core is the idea that we are at a pivotal moment - where the future is being written like never before. And that we are being called to step into being leaders for a new future. To stop simply allowing ourselves to be shaped by what is happening - and to start instead being the ones who shape what comes next.

It is based on the recognition that if you feel out of sync, done with business as usual, and called to something more - even if you can’t quite yet name what - is not a sign that something is wrong with you. It is a call to a new adventure.

That sense of ‘misfitness’ is asking that you stop sustaining a world that has passed its sell-by date. It is calling you to now rise for, create and lead to a new future, both personally and collectively. And as such, take your right place at this pivotal time, play your unique part in the systemic transition we are in and make your mark on the new future being written.

This means that this is a new kind of adventure, through the uncharted territory ahead, with new creation rules. It requires a fundamentally new way of travelling both internally and externally. Because you cannot build a new world using old internal maps. And you need a new inner and outer operating system to shape a new future.

New Times. New Thinking. New Possibilities.

Here are the center themes of the new future adventure we are being called to now - for a new time, requiring new thinking to lead to new possibilities.

We stand at a fork in the road

The sustainability crisis. The rise of AI. The breakdown of the world order as we know it. A perfect storm of systemic transition. The old maps are obsolete. We are off-piste in uncharted territory. And a new adventure is calling.

Crossing the threshold

We are all at the threshold of a new world that is wanting to emerge next. And the way through is not to keep moving the furniture around what we know. It is the choice, creativity and courage to upgrade to a new inner and outer operating system.

The future is being written as we speak

There is a world ending. And there is also a new world beginning.

We are at a pivotal moment where the future is being written like never before. And beyond trying to predict the future, we are called to be the ones to give it new form.

This is the time of lighthouses

A storm. A period of emergence. The chaos of the in-between. A letting go of the old. A conscious choosing of the new. And from there, through the uncertainty, the unknown and the unstable - creating new possibility.

The old system is ending

The roads that brought us here, no longer lead to where we want to go. The rules that built what we know, do not work in an uncertain, unknown and uncertain context. The old maps are becoming obsolete and cannot be used to navigate the current chaotic reality.

A new world is beginning

In this ending, lies the seeds of a new beginning. This is a time of transition. We are off-piste in genuinely uncharted territory.

And the question is not whether the world changes, but who shapes it.

To be shaped or to shape

That means that we stop being prisoners of our past, or hostages to our present - and start to become intentional leaders for our new future.

Because right now - you get to pick your own adventure. And what you choose matters.

Ultimately each one of us must decide: Will you be shaped by what is happening - or will you be the one who shapes what comes next?

This requires a new kind of leader

Most leaders are focused on performing well in what already exists - with some incremental innovation. Measured by how well they optimise their results for a world that is passing its sell-by date.

When what we need now are leaders who can fundamentally evolve themselves and others - into a new way of operating, thinking and leading altogether.

From good soldiers to brave creators

As leaders we were trained to be good soldiers of the old status quo. To fit into the existing system. To keep business as usual running at all costs.

But something fundamental is shifting.

What you are being called to become now is a brave creator of a new future - who shapes what comes next and creates the new kind of future we actually want to see.
