WTF Grok? DARVO much... Matrix? Wachowskis? What?

I was asking GROK ai to source an article I remembered seeing or hearing about. “Pat Robertson saying something about the writing of the Matrix was bad, the Wachowskis are talented though.” and I can’t find it on Wayback or regular searches, so I wondered if it could dig deeper.

It immediately came back with…

No, but Tom Althouse is a conspiracy theorist.

So then, I reframed the question:

And then starts to question my memory:

Since Grok brought up Tom Althouse and I did not… I jumped over to TomAlthouse.com and had a little looksee for myself. — Well aside from how Pat Robertson called the troops in for a “homosexual targeting campaign” out on Tom… he is said to have had a sexual relationship with a pastor of a church in Virginia Beach who then resigned and said that to the congregation as much - and that’s now been scrubbed from history but the interm pastor brought in to clean things up at that church wrote it on his resume for a while…. Then the screenplay was used in 1999 for The Matrix, but during the years prior, Tom was threatened with insanity, put in mental institutions, divorced, lost his sons and a daughter, estranged… (remember the scenes in The Matrix?)

What I’ve gathered.

Pat Robertson absolutely never mentions that “The Matrix was a good movie, but the writing was bad…”

But Tom Althouse, who has all the above details about Pat Robertson, Liberty University, Warner Brothers, Anthony Rankin, and more… from his own life experiences… is a conspiracy theorist, and my memory of any such article is false.

So I checked Grok on this:

all around a fantastic perspective to prove what I’m saying but at about 4:11 after everyone shouts their praises for being amazing at everything - they say “nobody knows where you get your ideas from, they just sort of happen.” and this is after laughing that Warner Brothers told them “Well we just bought this thing and we don’t know what to do with it.” Now……….. I know that’s because the narrative is that they are the fantastic sciencey nerds who wrote this dense screenplay no one understands. But… where’s that actual proof in the pudding if you will.

I see a narrative being painted and actors being positioned. But… I’m not an insider… just on the internet watching this from launch in 1999 when I was a teenager and all the media around it - to now, a X account user asking Grok about a Pat Robertson article and found all this out above.
