The search for a path towards light

I am a tiny little creature
playing a very small part
in the movement of great forces.
Those forces are present here in me now.
I search for a more intimate contact with that fact
simply by breathing in and breathing out.
Feeling the air in contact with my skin.
Sensing the feet and the hands with an active organic sensation.
Here to receive the very small portion of energy
allocated to me in this being,
which was given in order to serve not my own purposes,
but cosmological purposes.
Becoming more aligned to the sensation of that fact,
hoping to become more available to the forces
that need my service here and now,
for the maintenance of other creatures and even of the planet itself.
And as I become more intimate with this sensation,
I begin to organically appreciate
what a very great privilege it is
to even be alive here at all on this planet.
For an endless series of graces and goodnesses and gifts
flows into being here at every moment.
A bounty which I have been invited to participate in.
And the deeper that the impressions of these great goodnesses
sink into my bones and my marrow,
the more humble I feel
and the more extraordinary I feel these gifts are.
For in participating here in the energies of this earth and the sun and the stars,
I have been offered a taste of the greatest glory there can ever be.
One golden drop.
Vouchsafed here and now to take into being.
And to remember.
And to help me remember
to at all times and in all places.
Give thanks for the glory that is sent.
