First, THANK YOU for your support. Honestly, moving over to Substack has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The front end and back end experiences have improved tremendously from our prior platform.
Second, THANK YOU for your patience. Any time you move over to a new platform, try a new system or tweak an existing system, things will break. It’s just inevitable. I always say, “Technology is great until it isn’t.”
Third, THANK YOU for your generosity. Every human needs some kind of evidence that what they are doing is beneficial. Following, subscribing, sharing, and paid subscriptions are the evidence that what we’ve been doing for almost 7 years is working AND beneficial.
Fourth, THANK YOU for your feedback. I was really nervous about this transition and put it off longer than I should have. I knew there would be some challenges with technology, systems, people, and even unknowns which I’m finding out about along the way. The unknowns can be the scariest part. However, I constantly remind myself that I move to Mérida by myself and figured it out. I’m sure I can figure out the challenges, create a solution, and offer a resolution with your important comments.
NEXT, now that I’ve brought you up to speed to this point, here’s what’s coming next. We are crossing our fingers this will be the best solution to deliver a great paid subscriber experience while also allowing us an organized experience on the back end.
