If our earliest emotions were met with countervailing overwhelm rather than presence, we likely adapted by jettisoning our feelings to the realm of danger.
Perhaps for you this shows up as a shutdown that you feel most of the time.
Or maybe old anger flares up—related, directly or indirectly, to the injustices of being neglected or abandoned in childhood.
Maybe you were never allowed to show anger, and now you’re scared of how scorching that anger can be when it gets unleashed.
The Marcella Principle holds that all of these responses—shutdown, fear, rage—are intelligent reflections in the mirror of your innate wisdom.
Because if you stop and think about it, emotional honesty is tantamount to spiritual integrity. To feel what is true is essential to inner freedom.
If your emotional body feels like foreign or hostile territory to you, let’s do some EFT Tapping to help you give yourself the dispassionate presence that allows the energy to move, without interference or interpretation.
My hope is that by the end you’ll feel a sense of inner spaciousness where emotions can arise, dwell, and resolve into a deeper sense of wholeness and presence.
