Presented at the 2026 Learning To Teach: (Re)Designing Creative Tech Pedagogy for the GenAI Era - A Virtual UnSymposium hosted by the Integrated Design and Media (IDM) program at NYU Tandon on Friday, January 16, 2026

There are countless AI chatbots online, but what happens when we design one whose central purpose is to strengthen the way educators think, plan, and create? This talk presents a case study of the LEV AI chatbot, engineered to help educators create SEL-first creative tech lessons from creative coding to digital storytelling.

Built on curated Tech Unlimited resources and grounded in frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning and CASEL, the chatbot behaves less like a content generator and more like an instructional design partner, guiding teachers through ideation, reflection, and accessible scaffolding.

This work offers a glimpse into how GenAI can reshape teaching workflows in ways that support educator-driven creativity.
