Mark your calendar early for Yom Hakahal (Day of the Gathering), taking place Sunday, March 21, 2027 (12 Adar II 5787), from 3–5 PM.
Presented by Jewish Panthers and HaMakavi Barzel, this upcoming gathering will commemorate Yom Nicanor (13 Adar II), the ancient day remembering Judah Maccabee’s victory over the Seleucid general Nicanor in 161 BCE. The event will bring people together around Jewish history, heritage, pride, observance, and community.
The afternoon will feature Jewish literature, kosher refreshments, and a community vigil with Psalm reading, along with a discussion of Rabbi Kahane’s Five Principles: Ahavat Yisrael, Hadar, Barzel, Mishmaat, and Bitachon and a discussion about Jewish warriors throughout history.
The physical location is TBA, with a livestream available for remote participation in the event and discussions.
Space will be limited, so those interested are encouraged to keep the date open and watch for additional details.
