Hello out there,
I missed writing to you as I’ve taken some holiday and some time to redo my portfolio.
I’ve also started volunteering with a fantastic charity working with people with learning disabilities, to assist a very knowledgeable art tutor. And I’m learning - a - lot.
I’ve been thinking about my approach to drawing the Curved Planks, and I had the horrible feeling that I was setting myself up for problems ahead. In comics, it’s all about how to keep the pace, like a marathon. I looked back at what I’ve blabbed on about here: the puppets, the slapstick, the clownishness, bolder strokes — I redrew my pages, and it felt much better.
But before delving into this project, here are some personal observations:
