Meghan Markle wants us all to believe that she gained 65 lbs during each pregnancy .

( she’s obviously trying to justify her Octomum bump on that Instagram moodboard which she shared last year 😂)

I had to convert to kilos for myself and ended up laughing .. a lot .. quite a lot, that’s about 30 kilos for each pregnancy! She certainly did not look to me as having gained THIRTY Kilos !

Say what ?? She’s trying to say her bump was 30 kilos ? What was she carrying an elephant? And with NO side effects ! Imagine that !

For those that are not aware the average pregnancy weight is between 11-16 kilos ( 22-35lbs ) .

I gained about 11 kilos with the first , 12 with the second and 14 kilos at 44 yrs of age with my third . I also had low end gestational diabetes with my first and last .

A healthy woman with a low BMI ( Meghan ) would not be normally gaining 30 kilos ( 65 pounds ) with her pregnancy .

She would be suffering from severe back and joint pain , swelling of ankles and hands , shortness of breath , fatigue . The stress and pain on the joints as well as severe back pain coupled with swelling of her feet would make it impossible to walk in stilettos of 5 plus inch heels as she tells it . It would make it impossible for someone to squat , legs together , and get up again .. with NO help .

She would also show weight gain in the hips, thighs and breasts . Her ankles would be swollen as well as her hands. Not to mention her face, did I mention her face and ankles ? More than once, I would say.

Here is a visual, 2 women of the same age , same build and similar height AND same pregnancy stage, from what we see on the images. The woman on the left is Kim Kardashian who gained about 27 kilos in pregnancy , the woman on the right Meghan Markle, according to her , gained 30 kilos during this fantastical pregnancy and miracle birth.

📸 Saint Meghan Markle Reddit

Lets look at why this particular Markle narrative induced so much mirth and hilarity

As ever , we are all by now quite aware of Ms Markle’s petite frame . This is hardly a point for discussion as there is much visual and witness evidence of this fact .

Therefore adding THIRTY kilos places an enormous physiological strain, health professionals refer to this as the “mechanical load” on this body shape and skeletal physiognomy.

  1. A Severe Postural Shift: In order to keep the balance and support of the heavy weight of her pregnant belly pulling forward , a small framed woman’s upper body naturally will lean backwards. This WILL create an extreme arch in her lower back ( this is called hyperlordosis), this position can cause severe lower back and sciatic pain. ( 1 ) ( 2 )

  2. Joint and Foot Stress: Joints such as knees, ankles, and hips absorb increased impact with every single step. The arches of the feet can flatten under this excess weight, it has been documented that this side effect can permanently increase a petite woman’s shoe size.

  3. Pelvic Floor Issues The pelvic floor muscles act like a muscle sling that holds up the baby and mother’s internal organs. An extra weight of THIRTY kilos puts continuous, heavy pressure on these muscles. With this comes an increased risk of urinary stress incontinence. Those of us who have had babies can bear witness to this .

A small frame like Meghan’s and body consequently has a smaller lung capacity and shorter cardiovascular highway. As many articles and medical journals describe it.

1.Shortness of Breath: A smaller upper body has less vertical space, a large pregnancy will force the uterus higher up against the diaphragm. Combine this with the extra weight, ( 30 kilos NO LESS ) it leaves minimal space for the lungs to expand, THIS WILL cause EVIDENT shortness of breath even during the most minor of activities.

2.Increased Cardiac Workload: Blood volume during an average pregnancy can increase up to 50%. Carrying an extra THIRTY kilos causes the heart to pump A LOT harder to deliver blood and oxygen across the increased body mass, this leads to fatigue and tachycardia at rest.

🧬 Metabolic and Medical Considerations

Increased weight gain so much above what are the standard recommendations and guidelines ( 11.5 to 16 kg for a normal BMI) comes with increased medical risks.( 6 ) ( 7 )

1.Gestational Diabetes: A massive weight gain of 30 Kilos would be strongly linked to increased insulin resistance, mother’s body will struggle to process blood sugars efficiently during the pregnancy.

2.Blood Pressure Risks: The increased physical strain on the woman’s circulatory system will increase the probability of developing gestational hypertension or even more severely preeclampsia.

3.Delivery Complications : An increased weight gain above normal determinations often correlates with a much larger baby ( this is called macrosomia). For a smaller woman like Meghan Markle , with an evident MUCH narrower pelvis, a large baby will increase the risk of a longer labor, often there will be a need for assisted delivery and the use of forceps or vacuum, episiotomy or quite often a Cesarean section. ( 5 )

A slim, smaller framed woman will have a smaller total surface area of skin. ( Skin as many are aware is our largest body organ and system ).

1.Significant Skin Stretching: The fast growth , stretch and indeed, expansion needed for a THIRTY kilo weight , will stretch the dermis ( which is the skin’s middle layer ) to THE an absolute limit. This will be noted in deep stretch marks (striae gravidarum) on the stomach, on the breasts, the hips, and even the thighs.

2.Diastasis Recti: This is the line of connective tissue which runs down the middle of our abdominal muscles ( it is called the linea alba) with a THIRTY kilo weight gain it will have no choice but to stretch dramatically. The massive weight gain of THIRTY kilos will make it more probable that BOTH left and right side of the abdominal muscles will separate massively and widely this condition is known as diastasis recti, often it will requires postpartum medical and allied health care intervention to heal. ( 3 ) ( 4 )

🔄 Postpartum Recovery and Return to Pre Pregnancy Status

Post birth recovery from a large THIRTY kilo weight gain during pregnancy takes a fair bit of time.

1.The Extended Timeline: for RECOVERY Some of the weight will be lost during the birth, this would be the baby, the placenta and the amniotic fluid, however a rather large amount will be stored as adipose or fatty tissue and retained fluid. It will often take a year or even longer to lose this excess weight. Of course Ozempic does help if one is not breastfeeding.

2.Loose Skin: as a result of this THIRTY kilo weight gain on a small aka petite frame the skin has to stretch exponentially. Quite a LOT , and there WILL BE some residual loose skin on the belly area, this is especially common even after the weight loss because often the skin’s natural elasticity may not fully return to its pre pregnancy status quo.

https://www.merckmanuals.com/professional/multimedia/table/guidelines-for-weight-gain-during-pregnancy

To place all of this into PERSPECTIVE , Kim Kardashian gained 60 pounds (about 27 kilograms) during her second pregnancy with her son, Saint West. Her pre pregnancy weight was 130 pounds, she reached 190 pounds by the end of her pregnancy.

Kim Kardashian suffered from preeclampsia for both her first and second pregnancies . This is due to severe high blood pressure and extreme fluid retention in pregnancy . This high risk condition forces the heart to work a lot harder to dangerous levels, it threatens the ability of the heart to work at optimal levels and to get oxygenated blood to the internal organs like the kidneys and liver. ( 8 ) Kim also suffered from a condition called Placenta Accreta, this is a life-threatening condition and it happens when the placenta grows too deep into the uterine wall and fails to detach naturally after birth. During her delivery, the obstetric team had to “manually scrape the placenta out of her uterus by hand , Kim described this as “the most painful experience” of her life.”

Imagine , mamas , a strip and stretch only 1000 times more painful. I’ve had a strip and stretch and it’s absolutely awful! My heart totally goes out to Kim.

One of Kim’s most frequent complaints was how the fast 60-pound weight gain ( 27 kilos ) physically affected her and her 5’2” body . ( 9 )

Kim would often share online that she felt totally emotionally and physically overwhelmed and drained by the heavy weight and the huge load she was carrying, she shared on her social media that she felt “as f--king big as a whale” and also struggled with the debilitating physical exhaustion of moving with all of that extra weight. ( 10 ) The complications from carrying the massive weight gain of 27 Kilos and the resulting placental conditions DID cause “significant structural damage to her uterus.” She had to undergo “five separate surgeries to repair her reproductive system” The consequences were so severe that she could no longer carry a child herself and that is why her third and fourth children were a surrogate pregnancy. Kim’s openness and honesty helped remove various taboos and feelings of guilt expressed by many women who for whatever reason cannot become pregnant or carry a pregnancy to term.(11 ) ( 12 ) .

So I guess , that we can now all agree that gaining 30 kilos in pregnancy would show in many ways . Certainly a 30 kilo pregnancy weight gain and the subsequent mechanical changes to posture and skeletal system would DEFINITELY PREVENT someone from SQUATTING REPEATEDLY with a large baby bump, and an over arched back, let alone squat in stilettos and get back up ALL BY YOURSELF.

Markle Truth: She was offered the best medical care by Palace physicians and refused. She didn't seek out her own OBYGN, who would have organised a mental health plan. Why.. because she couldn't afford to be questioned about her fake pregnancy. She's not that smart to pull it off

So, what have we really learned about Meghan Markle’s “ pregnancy and births “ from Harry’s book Spare?

Well, I personally found it rather strange how Harry never wrote or spoke of those first movements in the womb , the hiccoughing , the kicks , the cravings , morning sickness , feeling those first and later bigger movements , seeing the baby on ultrasound , the heartbeat , the delivery of the placenta .
She never spoke of it either . In fact any discussion that she has had of her pregnancies has been very generalised. Except for the massive THIRTY kilos weight gain, YEARS after the pregnancies, spoken as an afterthought with no repercussions ( I also believe Harry did not mention this in his extremely revealing and privacy invading book ). And when on a podcast where she just had to find common ground with the podcaster, so proceeded to share that she too had had post natal pre eclampsia, despite the fact that she went flying about 6 weeks after Archie’s birth.

A geriatric / mature age pregnancy with no swollen feet or legs either , with no issues at all as if she was 20 years of age . With a weight gain of THIRTY hidden kilos , no less.
No talk of breastfeeding, ever.
No breastfeeding pictures like other celebrities , and that is odd coming from someone as fame hungry and attention seeking as Meghan Markle.
No discussion of bottle or formula feeding .
No talk about first foods . In fact Harry was feeding baby Archie during their Montecito reality TV show from an empty bowl. True !
Toilet training was never discussed by Harry , the man who is the epitome of toilet humour.
First steps , this was never spoken about from the proud papa.
It’s all very weird in my humble opinion.
It’s like she had a suspiciously very big bump at 12 weeks ( weird for a thin fit small woman with tight abdominal muscles and a history of yoga practice and a FIRST pregnancy )
And then we saw various bump changes , from big to small and big again and sometimes not at all ,all within the same trimester after which out a baby appeared, whose birth was as narrated by Harry even more fantastical than the pregnancy.

With Harry using all the pain relief from a non existent gas cylinder and her going home an hour from delivery , despite the supposed fraught labour & advanced maternal age , and in clear opposition to all hospital policies, protocols and indeed healthcare safeguards.. What did happen to that placenta ?
However , we remain chuffed to the fact that at least they did not go hungry for they were eating tacos all through her labour.

( wtf ? She was eating tacos in labour ??? )

pregnant Meghan Markle in a hospital bed eating tacos

All of a sudden the kids were walking and going to preschool or kinder ..

Like a movie ..

The take away of it all from Harry’s Spare book really is this ,

We learn that Megsy had a holy birth with no placenta , went home within an hour of birth after having 2 epidurals & an induction . However she was in so much pain that Harry used all her pain relief for himself.

The birth stories as recounted by Harry in his book of mistruth’s Spare , are nothing short of fantastical .

Sometimes , images speak more clearly than words .

It is nothing short of miraculous how a THIRTY kilo pregnancy belly bump can develop during dinner.

or how a 30 kilo pregnancy baby belly can mysteriously deflate.

Archie’s birth .. summed up by me and as Harry explained it in Spare
In the interest of telling THE truth.

The tradition to have the Prime minister present and other dignitaries present had ceased decades before the birth of Archie.

No woman eats tacos during labour .
You can only have fluids and ice chips / lollies / ice blocks in case of an emergency GA and there is no time to pump the stomach ..

No nurse or midwife would leave the entonox unattended and then just smile if a relative INCLUDING a Princely father used it all .
It’s actually illegal no matter who you are .

No mother would be discharged 2 hours after birth with TWO epidurals on board .
It can also take up to another hour to birth the placenta or longer .

There is no water birth with an epidural on board .

And the list goes on.

and lets not mention the “ baby “ when presented , despite non stop flashes up close due to the “ presentation “ being inside a building ( which made it worse in my opinion ), did not stir once.

No startle or moro reflex despite all of the noise and lights . Despite papa pushing his thumb hard into your tiny infant chest.

The Moro reflex also known as the startle reflex is a normal involuntary newborn response to outside stimuli that lasts until 4- 6 months of age. Of course , baby dolls do not have this human movement.

“This automatic reflex acts as a built-in protective survival mechanism. When a baby feels a sudden loss of support, hears a loud noise, or experiences bright light, they will flinger their arms outward, open their hands, and then pull their limbs back in.” ( 13 ) ( 14 ) ( 15 )

Anyone ever press a thumb into newborn like this and the baby has zero reaction? Not even an eye flutter from reacting to the pressure? Why did Meghan make Harry walk out and present this to the world?

The royal household has its own gynecologist who manages all royal births. Marcus Setchell was the Queen’s official gynaecologist until 2013. He even postponed his retirement to oversee the delivery of Prince George.
The current gynaecologist is Alan Farthing and he’s seen many royal births dating back to Princess Charlotte in 2015.

“Before 1948, the year Prince Charles was born, the British home secretary would customarily go to all of the royal births. This gesture would supposedly “verify” the birth because it was a government official.
As official as this situation may seem, Queen Elizabeth II got rid of this practice. Doing away with it opened up the door for more privacy for pregnancies .However since that time every royal birth has been witnessed and signed off by the attending obstetrician and medical team. This document is then exhibited at Buckingham Palace gates. This has been a formality especially for those IN THE DIRECT LINE or senior royals. Especially for those royals who EXPECT their children to carry the title of a royal Prince or a Royal Princess and HRH appellative.

This is a very simple and painless procedure which affects non one in any untoward manner , as health professionals are used to signing their names to public documents and its actually an honour to be of assistance at a royal birth. Indeed , a career making event.

Harry Mountbatten-Windsor and his wife should be of no exception, there should be no exemption and no dispensation. ESPECIALLY since there is such a question mark over both pregnancies and births. If indeed these are mere rumours , they could be stopped in their tracks with the public provision of this document. Yet, no such simple document has been provided for either Archie Mountbatten-Windsor or Lilli Mountbatten-Windsor. In my opinion too many years have now passed and it is too late to now procure such documents. The people’s trust has now been eroded. There is a lot more that I can write about this subject and it is for a future article to come.

So I am

sorry but for me little anecdotes on podcasts , that make no sense and dark, grainy long distance photos of what could be anyone just don’t cut it.

We, the people need independent proof.

Signed by the medical personnel present at the birth with full disclosure that they understand that it’s fraud if they lie.

And trust me .. someone will find out if they lie.

There is so much more to write on this subject, for me especially , as a mother of three , for many years a paediatric, women’s health , anaesthetics & recovery registered nurse , married to a midwife of almost 30 years standing. So much , much more .

Do I believe that those poor wee bairns are real ? ABSOLUTELY

Do I believe that Meghan was pregnant with them and gave birth to them?

NO, no, I don’t. That is my personal , my professional and my life experience opinion.
