When one door closes, our photo studio reopens.

I’m here today today with a sorry, a thanks, a hello, a goodbye, and a very important note about a change around here at The Heirloomist.

First the apology. Our photo studio closed for a month after the loss of my father and I know many of you had orders in process and deadlines to navigate. I feel terrible about that but you were awesomely supportive. So here is the gratitude part: the love and patience you showed me was incredible and I will always remember you guys as a bright spot during a hard time.

Now for the important change happening here at The Heirloomist: effective immediately, clients should plan for one month turnaround on orders. This honestly changes NOTHING about our photography or our product. It just means we all have to plan ahead if you have a special occasion gift on the horizon. Our print production times have gotten longer. **This change does not apply to prearranged rush orders or lovies and stuffed animals. And we will still be doing our best for our usual 14 day project completion.

….now for the hello part. I know summer can be busy for everyone but if you find yourself wanting to get started on a new Heirloomist project you’ve been thinking about, we are here! The photo studio is fully open, our mailroom is signing for packages 24/7, and I am feeling very much inspired to be back at the camera where I belong. If you need me, I will be here doing what I’ve been privileged to do for 11 years and counting— turning your treasures into modern art that means something big, beautiful, and personal.

Happy trails, dad. Your love of history, adventure, family, and fun will always be huge part of my work and we miss you very much. This will be the last newsletter you get from me before we close your gmail account! See you at the steakhouse in the sky one day.
