Greetings from the opposite of New York City— the desert Southwest. I’m here caring for my aunt who is terminally ill. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. And the easiest, since showing up out of love is never a question.
As most of you know, we had to close the photo studio for the month of August while I’m out. But you guys are keeping me on my toes in the best way possible— we’re booked through September and now have availability starting in October.
Until then, I signed up for an online evening course in Artificial Intelligence to make use of my time while I am away from the photo studio. A lot of people have been telling me that automation can make my business better, faster, and more powerful. Here is what I learned:
-The Heirloomist is the exact opposite of Artificial Intelligence.
-The Heirloomist is literally run by a beating heart. Mine.
-My business model is built upon real humans collaborating to make art that causes FEELINGS.
-I actually enjoy answering every emails and calls personally.
-I like problem solving and getting creative with my clients using my actual BRAIN.
Pardon my grammar but ain’t nothing artificial going on here at The Heirloomist. Go home, AI. You can’t sit here. Unless you teach my photo studio to clean itself. Then we can talk.
