This is an intimate space — a more sacred corner of my Substack where I share the tender, weighty matters of my life: my pregnancy pilgrimage, my birth ceremony, the honest navigation of conflict and tension in marriage and motherhood and what it is to be a transitional character in your family line (including — but not limited to).
Please only enter this space if you are a (biological) woman. Thank you.
These are not stories I feel called to share with just anyone, or casually. They are matters that deserve dignity, discretion, reverence and respect — and they are offered to you in that spirit.
My intention in making this a paid offering is not transactional. It is to sanctify and secure the space — to ensure it is entered and engaged with in commitment and care. Consider your subscription less a paywall and more a quiet consecration: a way of saying, I am here with reverence. I am here to witness. I am here to learn through the witnessing.
If you feel called in, I welcome you with open hands and a grateful heart. What you’ll find here is lived experience and the wisdom I have gathered along the way — held in faith, shared in trust. Please receive it as such.
This is the story of the faithful and family birth of my beloved daughter.
I typed every word of this with my non-dominant hand, one-thumbed, baby in the other arm, across many, many, many day time naps. . I could have gone back and reworked it to match my signature style. Made it look and feel like everything else I have written. But honestly? That extra layer of work started acting as a barrier between me and what God was convicting me to share. Because as a mama, I really do not have the same 24 hours as my maiden self did. And I was not about to let formatting stand between His prompting and your receiving. So here we are.
