Follow the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in condemning Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides’ Bill 25. “The minister told the Edmonton Journal that he also expects teachers not to speak about political and social issues not covered in the curriculum, including Alberta's separatist movement.” Nicolaides expects teachers not to speak about the most important action Albertans will take on October 19, 2026 in the history of this so-called province. He is creating a crisis for teachers rather than promoting a heathy climate for debate around key areas of concern for all kids.
