📝 Coming in 2026: A Memoir

Hi folks, as you may know, I’ve spent the last few months away from Substack in order to do social media marketing for Brookton’s Market, a small cafe in Upstate New York.

A couple weeks ago I got word that the new management team for the Market wanted to handle the social media themselves. Which means I now have the bandwith to write for you again. So I’ll be turning on paid subscriptions on January 6, 2026, a week from today.

I’ve also decided to do a soft reboot of this newsletter. See, people keep telling me I have a unique story to tell as the son of Indian immigrants who grew up in white evangelical churches. So I think it’s time to share that story.

I’ll use this space to write a memoir, dropping mini chapters every couple of weeks. The goal is to build enough of an audience to land a book deal, and then publish an award-winning memoir.

The marketing work I’ve done for Brookton’s Market over the last few months has shown me how powerful telling your story is. It’s also helped me build the muscles I need to make a business out of my writing.
