• The Chicken Coop Writing Group returns to Lost in Leith next Tuesday, March 31. Join me and the Good Eggs from 6-8 pm to get words on paper, meet other writers, and swap some books! Tickets are available on Eventbrite

• Gutter is open for submissions of fiction, poetry and essays for Issue 34 (scheduled for release in August 2026). The deadline for submissions is Sunday, March 29, at midnight. Check out the guidelines on the Gutter website

• Paperboats Energy Stories Competition is open for entries of poetry, prose, including fiction and nonfiction. The winning entry will receive a prize of £250 and be published in a special edition of the Paperboats Zine. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 15. • Join Anna Ball on Sunday, March 29, for this month’s Living Writing meet ups at Leith Depot, you can book tickets on Eventbrite
