“I think learning to take things at the pace that felt comfortable for me was the only way forward. Forgiveness had to come in its own time.” - Beth Wright

Beth Wright was abused by her father as a child, an experience that left her carrying guilt and emotional scars well into adulthood. Decades later, after raising an adopted son who had also known abuse, she came to understand the legacy of trauma and found a way to forgive her father, who caused her such pain.

We were delighted to hear storyteller Lis Cashin’s spoken word essay on Divine Sparks with Áine Lawlor, RTE Radio 1, in which she takes us through her journey of self-forgiveness following a traumatic event from her childhood.

“I realised then that my real work was not forgiving myself for the accident, it was learning to forgive myself for how harshly I had treated myself ever since.” - Lis Cashin

Recently, our Founder Marina Cantacuzino was invited by Ioana Marin, Founder of Inspirators, to be part of their ecosystem of visionaries.

Inspirators is a global storytelling platform that gathers sustainability and regeneration leaders from more than 80 countries around the world. Their goal is to platform global regeneration and sustainability voices who do not want to influence, but to inspire.

“If you want to lay the ghosts or quieten the demons, a place to start is to accept our bruised ego as part of ourselves.” - Marina Cantacuzino

Hosted by St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace in Central London, the ceremony will feature testimonies from bereaved families, musical performances, and messages of hope from human rights leaders, all united in the belief that healing begins when we recognise each other’s suffering.

Speaking during the event will be Ben Yeger, a former IDF soldier and UK representative of Combatants for Peace, and Abdal-Rahman Amer, a bereaved father and peace activist from Gaza—two extraordinary individuals from very different lived realities within a painful and ongoing conflict, brought together on the same stage.

Tickets are available to watch the screening at St Ethelburga’s and to watch via livestream from your home. For in-person tickets, click the button below. To register for livestream access, please see here.

Podcasthon is the world’s largest communal podcast event, which aims to bring awareness to a variety of charitable organisations and endeavors.

For Podcasthon 2026, Nadia Neriya, host of A Mystic in Christ, generously chose to platform our work during a recent episode of her show, in which she spoke with her close friend Grace Emerson.

In this installment, Grace recounts her lived experience of childhood sexual assault and familial alcohol addiction, demonstrating where and how forgiveness has supported her in her journey of recovery so far.

“Finding forgiveness... I did that for me, I didn’t do that for them. This is my story, this is my path. This is my liberation, finding my way home and what matters to me.” - Grace Emerson

The Forgiveness Project team extends thanks to Nadia for choosing to platform our cause.
